For this collaborative project, my team came up with a tea box that contained four types of loose tea for the different sections of the garden, a unique bloom tea strainer, and local honey. All objects in the box are locally made and could be purchased through their store and website. We utilized their brand colors and typography. With the addition of a floral, a floral, delicate design to allude to the natural and soft feeling of being in the gardens themselves. The box’s first reveal has the full map of the gardens with labels of the separate sections. When the flaps are lifted, the following reveal has information about the new expansions for the future of the gardens. Each tea label contains information about where the tea comes from and the inspiration for that specific blend. The bloom strainer creates a special moment between the user and the act of brewing their tea. The edges of the strainer have Franklinian petals and Gingko leaves, both plants that inhabit Bartram’s Garden. The opening motion of the Franklinian petals and Gingko leaves mimics the garden's historical plants. This project won First Place in a design spring competition for Bartram's Garden. In a team of six, with three graphic designers and three product designers, my main task on this project was to create the map reveal and design the fold-out flaps. As we combined our ideas, my vision to create a modern look with at key sense of nature was also incorporated into other elements of the project.
